Welcome! My name is Taren and I am a Reiki healer, mother and spiritual seeker and am certified as a Usui Holy Fire® Reiki Master. I offer sessions at Taoh Wellness Centre and practice out of my peaceful home studio in Cobble Hill, BC, Canada.
I was born and raised in the Cowichan Valley and am grateful to be able to share my knowledge of Reiki and spiritual healing with my local community.

What is Reiki, you ask?
Reiki is the practice of channeling life force energy (also known as “chi” or “prana”) into the body. It is an ancient method of healing that has been passed down by dedicated healers and has benefited humanity for thousands of years.
When the natural flow of energy through our bodies is blocked, we can feel it as sore aching muscles, headaches, difficulty thinking (“brain fog”), limited stamina and a reduced zest for life. By relieving our body of these blockages and enabling the energy to flow freely, we are able to move in alignment and embrace the present moment to the fullest.

When high vibrational Reiki energy is channelled into the physical and energetic body (or aura), it cleanses and clears low vibrational, dense energies, reinvigorating the body, mind and spirit. When our energy centres (chakras) are open, balanced and in alignment, our bodies and minds can function to the best of their ability.
Physical and emotional pain can derail us, causing us to focus our attention on what ails us, rather than allowing us to stay grounded in the moment. It is distracting and it hurts, but it is temporary. When we highlight the areas of our body, or our lives, that are causing us pain, it enables us to process it and in turn allows the stuck energy causing the pain to be released.
Balancing the Seven Chakras

Chakras are wheels of energy spinning through your body, starting at the top of your head (Crown Chakra), in between your eye brows (Third Eye Charka), your throat (Throat Chakra), your heart centre (Heart Chakra), your midsection (Solar Plexus Chakra), below your belly button (Sacral Charka) and at the base of your spine (Root Chakra).

Nurturing yourself, through yoga, meditation, enjoying time in nature, or whichever peaceful activity brings you joy, helps keep energy flowing smoothly.
Living a healthy life by eating well, getting the right amount of exercise and the right amount of rest aids us in keeping our chakras balanced. When our chakras become blocked by stuck energy and pent up emotions we can experience a wide range of health issues.
Peace leads to prosperity!

When energy flows freely we experience improved blood circulation, reduced pain, better concentration and heightened awareness. When we feel healthy and focused it is easier to embrace the beauty of life! When we feel stuck, anxious or are suffering from physical pain, life is more difficult to navigate.
Happiness comes from within and our perception of reality can shift greatly when we are experiencing pain or sadness. Often, in our busy lives, we feel it is necessary to push aside difficult emotions so that we can show up for our jobs, relationships and responsibilities. Unfortunately, pushing these emotions, or energies, inward causes them to become stuck, resulting in aches, pain, frustration, mood swings, lethargy and a host of other health issues.
It is important to feel into every emotion as it arises, be it good or bad. Shed the tears, laugh until you cry; releasing emotions clears energy. When we hold onto the past or find ourselves worrying about the future, we miss out on the happiness that we can be experiencing now. When feelings arise, allow yourself to sit with them for a moment. Release the need to label or categorize the emotion, just feel into it and allow it to flow away.
Our Soul Path

Every soul came to Earth to grow and every experience that we face is here to teach us important lessons. Listening to the wisdom of our own inner guidance and embracing our authenticity allows us to go with the flow of life and opens the door to abundance and joy!
Being in a state of emotional clarity enables us to trust in our intuition and follow our heart with every step. By limiting the influence of our mind and ego on our decisions and having faith in our inner knowing, we can navigate life more smoothly, meeting any challenge as it arises with confidence and courage.
A Reiki healing session provides a safe, calm environment to fully relax and allow your body and mind to unwind. As you feel the energy flow through your body you become witness to thoughts and emotions, colours and images, as they rise up to be released. Memories may surface, feelings come and go as you allow the energy to clear and cleanse your body and fill you up with peace and love.
